U3A Semester 2, 2018 Update

Monday

Conversations in Wodonga: This class was due to commence on July 30th but will not begin until August 6th. Topics for next term: Terrorism, Inequality, Investments and Ethics, Humour and Philosophy and Peter Singer. There are a few spaces available so if interested, please enrol at the AWCC office.

Tuesday

Mindfulness Meditation will continue in Term 3 for existing members. Any new members will need to enrol in the class at the AWCC Office.

Europeans: This class will not run in Term 3 but will recommence in Term 4. Any new members interested however will need to enrol.

Wednesday

International Relations 1 will continue throughout the rest of the year.

The Great War 1914-1918 As it Happened and The Great War – Legacies and Consequences will not be continuing during Semester 2. These will be offered again in 2019.

Thursday

International Relations 2 will continue in Term 3 but will not be offered in Term 4.

Basic Concepts in Economics: A new course for anyone who is interested in how the economy works, Eddie Voogt is running this Economics course in Term 4. An outline of the topics is available at both the U3A office and the AWCC office. If interested please enrol at the AWCC office. Coordinator: Eddie Voogt; Venue: AWCC; Day/Time: Thursday 1pm – 3pm; Starting: Term 4, October 11th.

Friday

Community Sing-a-Long: A new course Helen Milbourne has organised a musician to run fun, old times sing-a-long sessions Term 4 on Friday afternoons (times yet to be determined). Song books will be provided and Peter is a dynamic musician who will use his musical instruments to lead the Sing-a-Long. Please register your expression of interest at the U3A office or email u3a@awcc.edu.au

Healthy and Wise Program will begin on August 3rd until September 21st (Term 3). It will run from 10.30 -12.30. Although the class is now full you may still place your name on a waiting list at the AWCC office in case someone withdraws in the meantime.
