This course is best suited to those U3A members who have not taken part in this course before or those who wish to brush up on material from previous sessions. These sessions are background briefings to current issues internationally. T he course will examine issues of international concern on a weekly basis. Topics to be covered can be tailored to suit the wishes and interests of the group where possible. However the course may include some or all of the following: Australia’s relationship with the US, Putin’s Russia, Saudi Arabia and Iran, the Middle East, Afghanistan, the rise of China, the politics of water.
